AFK farming guide

AFK farming lets your bot stay online and accumulate resources, in-game currency, or experience while you are away. MinecraftAfkBots handles the connection so you do not need to keep Minecraft open on your computer.

How AFK farming works

Most Minecraft servers reward players who stay online. Whether it is a mob farm that collects drops, a crop farm that harvests automatically, or a server economy that pays idle players, AFK farming takes advantage of these mechanics by keeping your account connected 24/7.

MinecraftAfkBots connects to the server from the cloud, so your computer can be completely turned off. The bot stays in-game and performs any actions you configure through macros.

Setting up an AFK farm

1

Choose your farm location

Before connecting your bot, manually join the server and travel to your farm location. Many farms require you to stand in a specific spot for drops to accumulate properly.

2

Set up a connection macro

Create a macro that runs on connect. This macro should teleport your bot to the farm location using commands like /home farm or /warp farm.

3

Enable anti-AFK

Turn on anti-AFK with a randomized interval of 30-90 seconds. This prevents the server from kicking your bot for inactivity.

4

Enable auto reconnect

Turn on auto reconnect so your bot automatically re-joins and re-runs the connect macro if the server restarts or you get disconnected.

5

Connect and leave it running

Click connect and close your browser. MinecraftAfkBots keeps the bot online in the cloud. Check back periodically through the web client to see your progress.

Common AFK farm types

  • Mob farms - Stand at the kill zone to collect drops and XP automatically.
  • Crop farms - Some servers have auto-harvest mechanics. Stay nearby so chunks remain loaded.
  • Fish farms - On servers that allow AFK fishing, set up a macro to cast and reel.
  • Economy farms - Many servers pay players for time spent online. Just stay connected.
  • Vote reward farms - Some servers give idle rewards per hour. Stay online to accumulate them.

Tips for reliable AFK farming

  • Use randomized intervals - Avoid fixed anti-AFK timers. Random intervals between 30-90 seconds look more natural.
  • Test your macro first - Connect manually and verify your macro teleports you to the right location before leaving it unattended.
  • Monitor the chat - Check the chat panel occasionally for server announcements or warnings.
  • Use proxies for multiple bots - If running multiple accounts on the same server, use proxies to avoid IP limits.

Note:Always check the server rules before AFK farming. Some servers explicitly allow it, while others may restrict certain types of AFK activity.
