AFK money grinding
In-game money on DonutSMP lets you buy land claims, shop items, enchantments, and more. Many money-making methods work passively while your bot is AFK, letting you grow your balance without active gameplay.
Passive money sources
Most SMP servers, including DonutSMP, offer multiple ways to earn money while idle:
- Playtime rewards - Many servers give periodic payouts to online players. Stay connected to receive hourly or per-interval payments.
- AFK farm + auto-sell - If the server has a shop plugin, items from your AFK farm can be sold for coins. Some servers support auto-sell chests or sign shops.
- Voting rewards - Vote for the server daily and receive bonus coins. Your bot being online ensures you do not miss the vote reminder notifications.
- Job plugin - If the server uses a jobs plugin, certain activities like farming or mining pay money per action. AFK farming at a crop farm can generate job income.
Setting up money grinding
Identify the best money method
Before setting up your bot, check what money-making options the server offers. Join normally and look at the /shop, /sell, and /jobs commands to understand the economy.
Set up your farm
Build a farm that produces high-value items. On most SMP servers, the best items to sell are iron ingots, gold ingots, diamonds (from fortune mining), and certain crops like wheat or carrots in bulk.
Configure your bot
Connect using the DonutSMP guide and set up a connect macro to teleport to your farm. Enable anti-AFK and auto reconnect.
Check your balance periodically
Use the chat panel to send /balance or /bal to track your earnings over time.
Maximizing earnings
- Run 24/7 - The longer your bot stays online, the more playtime rewards accumulate. With auto reconnect enabled, your bot recovers from server restarts automatically.
- Combine methods - AFK at a farm that produces sellable items while also earning playtime rewards. Double income from one bot.
- Use multiple accounts - If your plan supports it, run multiple accounts at different farms.
- Sell during peak hours - If the server has a player-driven economy, prices fluctuate. Farm overnight and sell when more players are online.
Note:Server economies change over time. Item prices in the shop may be adjusted by admins. Check the shop regularly to ensure you are farming the most profitable items.
Tip:Create a macro that periodically sends /sell all if the server supports it. This converts farmed items into money automatically without needing to visit a shop.
