Two-factor authentication
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your MinecraftAfkBots account. When enabled, you will need to enter a temporary code from an authenticator app in addition to your password when logging in.
Why use 2FA?
Even if someone obtains your password, they cannot access your account without the second factor. This is especially important because your MinecraftAfkBots account has access to your Minecraft credentials and active bot sessions.
Setting up 2FA
Go to account settings
Open the dashboard and navigate to your account security settings.
Enable two-factor authentication
Click the enable 2FA button. You will be shown a QR code.
Scan the QR code
Open an authenticator app on your phone (such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or any TOTP-compatible app) and scan the QR code.
Enter the verification code
Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app to confirm setup. Save the backup codes shown - you will need them if you lose access to your authenticator app.
Note:Store your backup codes in a safe place. If you lose access to your authenticator app and do not have backup codes, you may lose access to your account.
Supported authenticator apps
Any app that supports the TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password) standard will work. Popular options include:
- Google Authenticator
- Authy
- Microsoft Authenticator
- 1Password
- Bitwarden
Disabling 2FA
You can disable 2FA from the same security settings page. You will need to enter a current 2FA code to confirm. We recommend keeping 2FA enabled for maximum account security.
Tip:We strongly recommend enabling 2FA on both your MinecraftAfkBots account and your Microsoft/Minecraft account for complete protection.
